Today we made a Chocolate Chef using both Poured Chocolate and Molding Chocolate. We learned how to make parts using the molded chocolate and pouring into molds with the poured chocolate and hos to make them stick together. Here is chef demonstrating each step:

Here is the floor the chef will stand on. We used modeling chocolate over a piece of cardboard, then made a flooring pattern. Molding Chocolate is a pliable chocolate paste made from just two ingredients, chocolate and corn syrup. It has the texture of a tootsie roll or marzipan and is very easy to work with. It can be used to make ropes, braids, ribbons, ruffles, flowers, or leaves, or floors!

Here we have the beginning of the body parts such as the arm and the chef boots. Chef is pretty good at making htese shapes. It took me a long time to get part of the way there.

Above you see how the jacket is added. After the jacket comes the lovely scarf, maybe I should have zoomed in a bit closer. He is coming together!

Below you see my version I really liked making the chocolate chef. I took him to work and everyone was amazingly impressed. The chocolate aroma brought many people by my desk and lots of photos were taken.

Here is my final chocolate Chef
